I couldn’t believe it when I saw this!
The night before Holi (the famous Hindu celebration of colour) a headmaster in an ashram was encouraging his young teenage pupils to jump through three fires of burning cow-dung! He had a whistle in his mouth and every few seconds he would blow it and encourage his kids to jump through the fires! You know the funny thing? Apparently this is done to promote good health!
Only in India!

I fail to see the healthy side of singeing your hair and burning your feet, +Violeta Ivanova! Still, when I was that age it wouldn't have taken much to encourage me to jump through fires either!
I don't see the point of it either, and I've never done it, but from what I've seen, it's the spiritual level that goes up and somehow it heals.
Hmmm. From what I could see it was just a bunch of kids – and men – showing off their masculinity and bravado! Any excuse to show off their manhood
+Violeta Ivanova Jumping over fire used to be done in most slavic countries… AFAIK …also where I come from this used to be a pass time and maybe proof of courage…
